The serialized First Patterns are extraordinarily rare, important and desirable (please see my article on this topic). At number 44 this is a low ‘two digit’ example. This important original First Pattern is compete with it’s correct scabbard. It has the correct Serial Force Number of ‘30946’ (for No9 Commando and the individual serial number of ‘44’.
