Original Circa 1941 Wilkinson First Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

A nice honest, used example of the classic Wilkinson First Pattern F-S circa 1941. No scabbard with this example. The knife shows general signs of use, wear and sharpening but remains in solid, original condition, all be it a little over cleaned. The blade is just shy of 6 3/4” with both etching panels faded but clear and readable. Original and untouched pommel nut. The hilt retaining most of it’s original plating, everything solid and tight. Interestingly this example has the extra wavy crossguard (slight gap) that one sees on early trials knives, no doubt an example of Wilkinson using up early parts to avoid any waist. Overall an honest, solid and original knife that presents really well.
