Exceptional ‘Non-Import’ WWII Third Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

A really lovely example of the late-war Third Pattern F-S in fabulous condition, very near as issued. This example does not have the import stamp, so an issued item. Wonderful full length blade at 6 7/8” with perfect tip, no signs of sharpening and retaining all of its original finish. The hilt is excellent, nice and tight, retaining most of its original finish, pommel cast number ‘2’, original and untouched pommel nut. The scabbard is of the correct wartime pattern but is stamped with an import mark, so a ‘correct’ but later replacement. Overall an exceptional example of an issued (non import) original wartime Third Pattern F-S
