Fabulous Unused & Untouched Wilkinson Scroll Etched Second Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

I have to confess, finding knives like this really gets me excited; a totally unused, untouched & uncleaned Wilkinson private purchase, scroll etched Second Pattern F-S Fighting Knife, a real ‘time capsule’. The original and correct scabbard is just about perfect, complete with both wings still attached and the original elastic retaining strap (a little stretched), it looks to have never been used and has the Wilkinson ‘W’ stamp to the rear, indicating waxed/waterproofed - a fabulous original Wilkinson scabbard by any standards. The knife appears totally unused and uncleaned. All three etchings are as strong and as clear as the day they were applied. The privately ordered scroll etching panel to the original owner reads ‘ROBERT G FRADY’. Full length, fabulous blade is at 6 5/8” and retains it’s factory edge, tip and polish, showing just a few very minor age spots. The hilt retains 100% or its original dark finish, showing just a few minor spots of verdigris. Overall, a truly fabulous ‘untouched’ find. When this came in, I just gave it a wipe with some wax to remove the dust and dirt. This is hands-down my favorite way to find a period correct Wilkie.
