Early Type I Second Pattern MoS ⩚56 Second Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

In overall good condition and retaining most of its original polish and plating. The blade has a broken tip and could use some sympathetic minor restoration, now showing a length of 6 5/8”. The cross-guard is stamped with the MoS ownership/inspection mark of ⩚56 and the other side with the import stamp of England. The pommel nut is original but has been re-tightened. It comes with a post-war Wilkinson pattern scabbard in very fine condition.
