Pristine Fat Wooden Gripped F-S Fighting Knife

These Fat Wooden Gripped F-S knives were available to RAF pilots and personal, the wooden grip being lighter and thus more suitable for Air-Force use. Many of these found there way to Burma for use in the Far East Campaign. The is a rare example in near perfect condition. No markings, which is the norm on these knives and of course no import stamp, so an issued example. A wonderful wooden grip with no cracks or issues, nice and tight with no shrinkage (a rarity). Original and intact pommel nut. No movement to the crossguard. A stunning full length blade, just over 6 7/8” with zero signs of use or sharpening. The condition of this knife is truly exceptional and hard to upgrade, a rare survivor. It is paired up with a us made leather sheath, this pattern was used by a number of US knives makers, such as Ek, Western and Case. The sheath being in lovely, complete condition and fits the knife very well.
