Circa 1944/5 Third Pattern F-S Fighting Knife & Scabbard

A very nice, honest example of the late-war Third Pattern F-S. General loss of finish overall but retaining a full length blade at 6 7/8”. The knife’s cross-guard and the scabbard are both stamped with the import mark of England. The pommel nut is original and intact. The grip does not show a cast mould number but is totally correct, I have observed that occasionally the numbers were ‘cleaned’ off during finishing of the grip. This nice F-S comes complete with it’s correct scabbard, the elastic has long perished and there is some damage where the frog is attached to the sheath (see photo) but otherwise in very good condtion.
