Very Nice (Non Import) Issued, Carried & Used Wilkinson MoS Contract Second Pattern F-S Fighting Knife

A really solid, clean and honest example of a Wilkinson Ministry of Supply Second Pattern F-S Fighting Knife that was actually issues, carried and used. A really hand-ground blade great full length at 6 3/4” retaining most of its original high luster blueing. The cross-guard has the correct MoS inspection/ownership stamp of ⩚B2 clearly and cleanly stamped and ‘no’ import stamp. The hilt is solid with some slight loss of finish. The pommel nut is intact, original and untouched. This great knife comes with its original and correct Wilkinson pattern scabbard, both wings intact, the elastic retaining strap has long perished and there is a field modification of some extra leather backing to the frog to strengthen it. A great example of an issued classic Wilkinson military contract Second Pattern.
