Extraordinarily Rare Canadian Paratrooper Stiletto

Without doubt one of true rarities within F-S variant collecting specifically and WWII fighting knife collecting in general. Made by the US company Camillus and to the same design as the famed U.S. Marine Raider Stiletto, a small batch was supplied to he Canadian 1st Parachute Battalion, the design differed slightly, in that there were no etchings applied to the blade and an overall black finish was applied. This wonderful example, has clearly seen use but remains in fabulous condition. The blade appears full length at 7 1/8”, showing some small areas of old corrosion but retaining much of the blades dark finish. The hilt has little to no original dark finish remaining but importantly has no noticeable cracks or issues that so often plague these case grips, so solid and strong. Complete with its original and correct sheath. For the US military knife collector as well as the F-S collector, it’s hard to think of many examples that are this hard to find.
