Scarce ‘Cast-Gripped’ F-S Fighting Knife With Period Custom Sheath

A solid, honest and scarce Cast-Gripped Fairbairn-Sykes Fighting Knife. This example is very typical of this scarce variation in having no markings. The grip and guard are cast directly onto the tang, similar in style to the Marine Raider Stiletto. Overall condition is very good indeed. Some of the dark finish remains, more to the blade than the grip. The blade is excellent and appears full length at 6 7/8”. This scarce F-S variant comes with a really well made period leather sheath that is of high quality and fits the knives really well. Very little is known of these Cast-Gripped F-S Knives, those examples observed are all identical, so one would presume they were all manufactured by the same maker, as yet unidentified. A great example of a seldom encountered F-S variation.
