Excellent WWII Third Pattern F-S Fighting Knife With ⩚12 MoS Stamp

A really excellent example of the WWII production Third Pattern F-S complete with its original and correct scabbard. Retaining most of its original dark finish overall. The blade appears to be full length at 6 7/8”. The pommel nut is original and untouched. The grips cast mould number is ‘1’. The ferrule area of the grip is stamped with the seldom seen Ministry of Supply inspection/ownership code of ⩚12. Both the knife and scabbard are stamped England. The original and correct scabbard is in solid condition, one set of ‘wings’ is missing and the elastic is at fault. Overall a really fine example of this pattern, dating from 1944/5.
